Dr. Rush is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology, with fellowship training in gynecologic and perinatal pathology as well as in cytopathology. In addition to serving as residency program director, Dr. Rush provides surgical pathology diagnostic interpretations in the areas of gynecologic, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular pathology, as well as cytopathology interpretations. She also teaches in the preclinical years of the College of Medicine Curriculum, covering topics of gynecologic and cardiovascular pathology, and supervises the medical students on elective in surgical pathology.
Although the preponderance of Dr. Rush’s scholarly work to date focuses on diseases of the lower female genital tract, she has also contributed to projects involving diseases of the endometrium, ovary, fallopian tube and placenta. Dr. Rush is also interested in medical education in pathology.
